THE DEAD DAISIES - The BRAVEWORDS Road To Daisyland On Spotify!

BraveWords and The Dead Daisies have teamed up to bring you a cracking playlist in the lead up to the bands Winterland tour of Europe and the UK (tickets and more information here.). This is in celebration of the new single “Can’t Take It With You” from the album, Burn It Down.

The band have dug deep into their record collection and chosen some of their favourite songs.  These songs were handpicked as either having influenced them in their songwriting, their love of music or their start in the industry.  This is their ultimate rock ‘n’ roll, road trip, playlist, including songs from AC/DC, KISS, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen.

Kicking off with their new single, this is definitely a playlist you’ll want to keep on repeat, and turn up, loud!

The Dead Daisies are:

Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio)
John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Scream)
Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy)
Deen Castronovo (Bad English, Journey)
David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink)

Here’s what Marco Mendoza had to say about some of his choices on the playlist:

“Come Together” - The Beatles: “Takes me back to the beginning of it all - Abbey Road was the first album I ever owned, I got it for Christmas and it's just a constant reminder of when I started wanting to play music.”

“Mexico” - The Dead Daisies: “Coming from Hispanic roots, I'm a bit partial to this song, it's a great song and always gets me and the fans going!  ‘Mexico’ brings back lots of good times, it's also the first video we shot live!”

“Whole Lotta Love” - Led Zeppelin – “Having just started playing guitar, when I heard 'Whole Lotta Love', it was my introduction to the band - I became an instant fan! 'Whole Lotta Love' opened the door and introduced me to the rock & roll life of today; it marked the beginning of a great journey playing music for a living!”
