Rain greeted the early morning sets by Exumer and Hirax. It parted, temporarily during the resurrected, original trio Exciter. Morgana Lefay and Omen followed, before a blazing sun greeted Y&T. Leave it to a Californian, Dave Meniketti to be the first guy to look good in dark shades. Ronnie Atkins, frontman for Pretty Maids, is always tan, so the sunshine was no problem. Dream Theater was in for a tough time, so high on the bill at a diehard metal fest. In teh hall, Asphyx had the unenviable task of playing opposite conquering homeland headliners Accept and afterwards, final band of the weekend, it was Destruction.
