The BraveWords team was privileged to hand-deliver personalized BraveWords hockey jerseys to Judas Priest in Albany, New York this past Saturday, May 18th at the revered Palace Theatre, where the British heavy metal icons were holding a two-night residency!

“I’m honored to present the Metal Gods with their own personalized BraveWords jerseys,” President/CEO “Metal” Tim Henderson told singer Rob Halford, bassist Ian Hill, drummer Scott Travis and guitarist Ritchie Faulkner prior to the show about the very special gift for the Bands That Built BraveWords. “I would not be standing here - and BraveWords would not be a brand - if it wasn’t for your inspiration and dedication to heavy metal. Thank you for what you do.”

Relaxed and cradling his pre-show tea, Rob Halford was as gracious and welcoming as ever. “We’ve always appreciated the support from BraveWords”, the singer remarked very soft-spoken. “These look amazing. Thank you so much.”

“Metal” Tim added: “And the coolest thing is that you are receiving these as BraveWords celebrates its 25th anniversary, while Judas Priest is celebrating 45 years since the release of Rocka Rolla. So the timing is perfect.”

“Congratulations,” Halford answered. “And we’ve also known each other for 25 years. I remember the very early days of your incredible magazine and now look where you are - look at what it has grown into!”

Judas Priest proceeded to thrill the crowd of nearly 3,000 with a heavy metal feast which included highlights such as “Victim Of Changes”, “Tyrant”, “The Sentinel” and the rarely-played “Steeler” and “All Guns Blazing”. And at the age of 67, the Metal God himself sees no wear and tear, his vocal chords as powerful and spine-tingling as ever! Don’t miss this current leg of their Firepower tour with fellow Brits Uriah Heep opening the show with style!

(Note: Rob Halford asked me to hold up Glenn's jersey since he wasn't present at that show)
