100,000 Expected For Controversial DEEP PURPLE Concert

According to Famagusta-gazette.com, final preparations are being made for a controversial concert by rock band Deep Purple which is slated to take place next weekend at the Near East University in Turkish occupied northern Cyprus.

Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the concert and an open field venue is nearly completed, according to Turkish Cypriot radio.

Frontman Ian Gillan issued a statement on April 3rd stating that the group wasn’t taking any sides and that Deep Purple had performed in many troubled regions in their touring history.
