The Nordic arm of Warner Music Group's Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) has partnered with independent metal label Nuclear Blast on an exclusive distribution agreement.

ADA Nordic, part of Warner Music Nordic, launched last month and provides digital and physical distribution services to independent music companies in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. It will distribute all Nuclear Blast physical and digital releases in Denmark, Finland and Sweden and all digital releases in Norway.

Nuclear Blast was founded in 1987 and has offices in Germany, US and Brazil. Its roster includes NIGHTWISH, HAMMERFALL, DEATHSTARS, SONATA ARCTICA, AMORPHIS, ANTHRAX, EPICA, GOTTHARD, DIMMU BORGIR, SOILWORK and IMMORTAL.

"Our superb one-stop sales, marketing and distribution network provides independent labels with powerful new growth opportunities," said Jesper Thorsson, manager ADA Nordic, in a statement. "Nuclear Blast is an iconic label with many phenomenal artists and we are delighted to welcome them on board. Given we officially launched in December, this deal represents an extremely strong start to the year for ADA Nordic."

ADA is the No. 1 distributor of independent music releases from labels including Sub Pop and Domino in the US, where it launched in 1993. A UK division was launched in 2006.
