India's Express News Service is reporting:

Around 20,000 heavy metal fans were seen head-banging and ‘air guitaring’ when IRON MAIDEN took the stage on Sunday as part of its ‘Somewhere Back In Time World Tour’ at city’s Palace Grounds. As befitting a Maiden concert, serpentine queues were to be seen and beer, water and Red Bull cans were leaping off the shelves at a fierce pace.

Amidst chantings of “Gods of Metal”, the band that comprises Steve Harris on bass, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers on guitars, Nicko McBrain on drums and Bruce Dickinson on vocals came onto the Eygptian-themed stage.

Dickinson who was in a torn army attire said that he was happy to perform in Bangalore and went on to sing the band’s all-time chart-busters like 'Aces High', '2 Minutes To Midnight', 'Trooper', 'Phantom Of The Opera', 'Children Of The Damned' among others.

For three Danes- Lars, Jacob and Sune- who are in their mid-thirties and a man from Ireland who is in his 50s claim their association with the band “going a long way back”. “We were pretty much brought up on Maiden music and been listening to their music for over 20 years,” Lars said.
