As previously reported, SAIGON KICK will perform at the 2009 edition of Iowa's Rock Gone Wild Festival is scheduled for August 20th - 23rd at Freedom Park in Algona, Iowa. BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai recently caught up frontman Matt Kramer to discuss the show as well as his future plans. He offered the following:

"Phil (Varone/drums) and myself are doing a one-off Saigon Kick show at Rock Gone Wild in Iowa this August. Just for fun; we for sure won't be doing it any further. I'm not sure if we're even going to do any warm-up dates, but the last shows that we did together back in 2000 and 2001 were really great and heavy."

As with the aformentioned shows, the band will only be playing songs from their self-titled debut and its follow-up, The Lizard. Kramer didn't mention who would be on guitar and bass for the festival, but it's 100% confirmed that original guitarist Jason Bieler WILL NOT be involved in any way.

We'll keep you posted.
