Former HELLOWEEN singer Michael Kiske spoke to German magazine Rock Hard recently. It was filmed in Hamburg at the Headbanger's Ballroom bar and published for Rock Guerrilla TV. The interview was published also on Rock Hard magazine issue 263.

Kiske talked with Götz (Kuehnemund - Chief Editor of Rock Hard) about music, God, the world, his critical perception of death metal, religion, and his attitude about life in general until the tape was full.

About PLACE VENDÔME he comment: "I enjoy working on this project. I made everything alone and that's what makes it very authentic. It's a bit like holidays for me, because I don't have the same weight and responsibility on my shoulder as I have with my own music. To sing songs from other composers, to give his point of view of music and you can learn from that".

About singing live: "Not at this time. I want to get a new audience for my own music. I'm not sure if my voice is in shape to handle live-gigs and I want to test it at first".

He was asked about an interview of 1994 when Kiske said that his voice was a mix of Halford (JUDAS PRIEST), Bruce Dickinson (IRON MAIDEN)and Geoff Tate (QUEENSRŸCHE) and he answered: "Yeah, but today my voice got additional sounds like ELVIS PRESLEY."

About the rumor concerning his joining of Iron Maiden: "The rumor was complete false! Nobody asked me to join them! I only heard that on the TV and I didn't know anything about it. I think this rumor came up from an interview where Steve Harris (Iron Maiden's bassist) mentioned in a French interview that he could imagine only three singers in Iron Maiden and I was one of them. They also had the same management. That's all."
