NZ Herald News has issued the following report from Scott Kara:

New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell has been getting tips from original shock rocker ALICE COOPER, better known for his macabre blood and guts stage show.

The 2005 US Open winner's form has been going through a long-running slump, but taking advice on fixing it from a 61-year-old rocker who was an alcoholic for almost half his 40-year career might still not seem the best option.

However, Cooper has serious golf credentials. He plays off a three or four handicap, is one of the best golfers on the all-star celebrity circuit and his book, Golf Monster, is a tell-all account of how he transformed from an alcoholic to a golf addict in the mid 80s.

"Michael will win again. He's won a major, so he will be able to win again," Cooper told the Herald this week during an interview to promote his performance in Auckland on September 4th.

The pair played together at the Shooting Stars In Desert Nights Benefit tournament at London Golf Club in June.
