hot flashes news pulver gurd

Drummer Tschibu from Swiss metallers GURD has issued the following update:

"I have decided to leave Gurd. This decision has only personal reasons. There are neither conflicts with the band nor the infamous musical differences. The main reason is that I will finally be father for the first time around end of this year. After more than ten years, time has come to cut down a little bit and redefine my priorities. In 1999, I joined GurD as part of the 'Bern package'. I did hundreds of shows, two European tours together with Pro-Pain, recorded 5 albums (including a live-DVD) and had a lot of rock n' roll with my GurD buddies.

This decision was not easy. But I am convinced that this is the right way for me and my family. No booked shows will be cancelled, I will play all of them until the end of the year. Besides, I will stay with my other band The Order.

Two drummers changing the position: the new drummer of GurD will be the current drummer of PULVER, Steve Karrer (ex-MESSIAH, AKA PROFOUND, MIRTO MASSAKER) and I will take over his seat and sticks in Pulver.

I deeply thank everybody who supported me during the time I played with GurD from the bottom of my heart. A special thanks goes out to V.O., Franky and Pat who are having so much patience, sweat and passion for this great band. I also thank all the loyal GurD-fans. You gave me many unforgettable moments. I appreciate this very much and I will miss all of it in a good way."
