FIREBIRD - Newtown, Bridgend Gigs Cancelled

British blues-rock power trio FIREBIRD fronted by guitarist / vocalist Bill Steer (ex-CARCASS / NAPALM DEATH) have issued the following update:
"Firebird are sad to announce the cancellation of this week's gigs at Club Y in Newtown and Hobos in Bridgend. The person responsible for booking these shows has informed us that Club Y recently closed, to re-open as a dance venue, while Hobos has closed its doors altogether. Obviously such a situation occurring twice within a few days seems rather unlikely, so we're looking into this further. In the meantime, we would like to apologize to those who planned to see us at either club."Firebird's new album, Grand Union, is out now via Rise Above Records.
