hot flashes news blaze bayley

BLAZE BAYLEY (ex-IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE) drummer Larry Paterson has issued the following update:

"It's been a while since we blogged ourselves up over here, so figured it was time to give you all an update on the adventures of the Blaze Bayley band.

We recently completed a string of small Italian Festivals and the Paranoid Open Air in Slovenia which was awesome (and a very very nice country). We're hoping to return there in 2010. Speaking of which, the next world tour is taking shape and will see us going all over the place including several new territories but more of that when it's confirmed.

The book At The End Of The Day is very nearly back in our sweaty hands. It's 396 pages long, has black and white and colour photos and is full of all kinds of stuff that you will never have heard before. It's released on September 25 and all pre-orders are signed by the band.

We've just finished writing all the tracks for the new album that starts recording at the end of the month. Among the song titles are......well.........I can't actually tell you yet. We do have some named riffs though such as 'The Ice Cream Riff', 'The Adams' Family Riff' and 'The Laurel & Hardy Riff' if that gives you any clues as to the song structures.

Sounding good though and we're all stoked to get it out there on stage...let alone into the studio.

On a more serious note, as our secret location has changed since the last album was recorded Stumpy is on holiday from animal sidekick duties and has been replaced by the demented hound known as Freya. Photographic evidence of this crazed beast will be forthcoming."
