Day 6 Siegen, Vortex Club, Germany

"Yesterday we had our first day off in Solingen (thanks to Jörg at Cobra Club for letting us park outside the whole day!!). We slept most of the day, and in the evening we went out to the center of town and had some terrible tapas at a Spanish restaurant, and finished the night at Fenox bar with 10 litres of beer and some pool. I went back to the bus pretty early since we’re now looking forward to 6 gigs in a row and I really need to take it cool with my voice. I say it once again, it’s really stupid to have the instrument built in to your body! The others came back to the bus at 2 in the night and continued the party downstairs ‘til 3:30 in the morning, impossible to sleep so I just read a book ‘til the the snorings from all the bunks was louder than the last party animals awake.

Today we’re at Vortex club in Siegen, Germany, right now in the dressing room that we share with BONAFIDE and we are done with the sound check and just had a fantastic dinner. Thanks to Steph, who made the best lasagna ever! I ate way too much, good that we still have 3 hours ‘til gig time so there’s still a chance that I’ll be able to sing tonight.

Sweeeet extra tour info: The toilet in the bus smells pee. It didn’t the first day, it just smelled Wonderbaum. There is a bus rule that you’re have to sit down while you’re doing no. 1. But already the 2nd day when I got up in the morning I step on a soaking wet stinking toilet floor carpet and had to throw away my socks. There had been a loud party during the night so I can just picture how the guys half asleep standing up during the shaky bus ride tried to hit the target. The toilet has been smelling really bad since then but at least I thought it was old.. But today I saw a new proof that some still aren’t sitting down. The toilet ring was up. And some nasty wet spots on the toilet... Arrrghh… boys!!

Well well, touring isn’t glamorous, never expected that! Now we’re getting ready for tonight’s gig!"
