Texas traditional metallers ASKA have issued a year-end update/2010 teaser. Guitarist/singer George Call (pictured) informs BraveWords.com that he's been asked to sing on the forthcoming EP from NWOBHM veterans CLOVEN HOOF, who recently parted ways with Russ North. "They'll be sending me the tracks on January 20th or thereabouts."

Afterwards, Call's off to Norway, where his other vocal commitment, fronting legendary US metallers OMEN are headlining the Metal Merchants festival, in Oslo on January 29th. Aska drummer Danny White is also part of the current Omen lineup.

"And the new Aska is coming along," Call states, in an almost oh-by-the-way manner. "Songs confirmed for the new album thus far are: 'Harlot of Eden', 'Dead Again' (both of which BW&BK;'s Mark Gromen has heard and approved), 'Year Of Jubilee', 'The Ripper' (JUDAS PRIEST cover, given an Aska twist), 'Angela' and 'Love Then Oblivion'." An early 2010 release is hoped for, although ongoing negotiations with European labels may prevent meeting that target. As previously reported, 'Harlot Of Eden' can be heard on the official MySpace page.
