SOLUTION .45 Part Ways With Keyboardist
January 23, 2010, 14 years ago
SOLUTION .45 - featuring former members of SCAR SYMMETRY, SONATA ARCTICA as well as members of MISERATION, HATEFORM and ANGEL BLAKE - have issued the following update:
"Good news and bad news. First the good: by now you've seen our brand new logo and our new band photos, taken by the great Olle Carlsson (OPETH, KATATONIA, DARK FUNERAL). We shot these in the freezing cold, in Stockholm, but it was worth it because they came out excellently. We also have a new logo. After much debate we decided that we wanted something more iconic than our original logo and this is the final result of that. We think it will look great against Pär Olofsson's artwork, which also came out great. Speaking of which, in time this temporary MySpace design will be replaced by a new one, based on the album layout.Unfortunately we have some bad news as well. As you can see, the band photos are one member short for a reason. Mikko Härkin (ex-SONATA ARCTICA, KOTIPELTO) unfortunately did not want to contribute to Solution .45 as a full time member and since this is a full time band, we decided to part ways with him. Mikko still contributed keyboards to the record, but he will be regarded as a guest musician on the album, rather than a band member. We are not quite sure what the future will hold as far as the keyboard situation, but we will back-track Mikko's parts for the live setting and continue as a five piece for now. The band wishes Mikko the best of luck in the future!
But back to the good news! We are happy to announce that our new album is finally finished. We are beyond relieved to have finished this album, which took about three months of pre-production, three months of recording and an extremely hectic month of mixing and mastering. However, we are very pleased with the results. Expect a new song to surface on the world wide web, this February!"
