LAAZ ROCKIT vocalist Michael Coons is featured in a new interview with Autona.com. An excerpt is available below:

Autona: How was the reaction on your comeback with the current album Left For Dead? Are you satisfied?

Michael Coons: "Beyond satisfied ... if I had predicted the reaction we have received, I believe most people would have deemed it highly unrealistic. As the writing began to take its form, Aaron and I felt we were certainly doing something long overdue in our musical venture together for over 25 years. Some had questioned why would bother releasing new material after so long away from the business, and just rest on our history as a means of still being able to play shows now and again. But collectively, all of us wanted to create new material to compliment our previous efforts. We felt that our live show would benefit with the infusion of some new songs, especially for the new generation of metal fans, who could have an album that they could feel a part of. All of the songs have a greater depth, I believe, from the life experience one accumulates only through time. I really enjoyed the whole process of writng lyrics again, it was quite cathartic for me. When you put the response of the fans and media on top of it, I'm so happy that we did decide to do it. I thought people would dig it, but they have embraced it beyond our expectations. I never thought of it as a gamble, as some have stated, I thought of it as a natural extension of our music from our last release, even though that feels like a lifetime ago."
