TESLA guitarist Dave Rude is currently on the road in the US with his solo outfit the DAVE RUDE BAND. He has sent BraveWords.com the following update:

"So our first day was definitely our busiest so far. March 19 we woke up in Detroit extra early and went straight to the Fox 2 TV station for a live interview and acoustic performance on their morning news program. Went great, despite the fact that we were all still on CA time and about three hours sleep (note my racoon eyes). After that, we picked up our back-line and headed to load in to the first gig at the Dawghouse in Clinton Township. From the venue we went to do an in-store signing and acoustic performance at Record Time in Roseville where we played an extra long acoustic set to kill time while we waited for our merch to arrive (first tour kinks getting worked out day by day...). Good crowd and hella fun, though. Later on we did our first official show of the tour at the club and had a blast despite the two-inch square stage and solar-powered PA system. Next night in Allen Park at Simon's After Dark was amazing, though! Sold-out crowd, big stage, good sound, great staff and killer night all around. Bunch of cool pics from that on our Facebook page now. We play Kalamazoo tonight (March 23rd) so I've gotta try and sleep a wink for our long day--3-4 in-store signing/acoustic performance at Corner Record Shop, then a headlining show at the Corner Bar."
