Montreal-based HARBINGER, featuring ex-SCARLET SINS members Cristina Bishop (guitars) and Elie Bertrand (drums), have issued a recap of their recent trip to the Cape Breton International Drum Fest in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. They made their live debut - without a singer - on May 22nd:

"Phew... What a trip!

Thirty-six hours of driving over three days, a couple of destroyed amplifier tubes, one awesome hotel room, some life lessons with some of the greatest drummers in the world and one of the coolest venues on the east coast transformed a wonderful trip into an amazing one.

Top 10 things overheard during five days of east coast travel:

10. "I will break their jaw if they don't have a McLobster!"

9. "Where are we? And where's JP?!"

8. "Lookin' good is a privilege, not a right." (Bernard Purdie)

7. "I'm hungry. Let's pull over."

6. "Where's Everett?"

5. "'Please restore software'??? Fuck this GPS, check your iPhone."

4. "There are a million things you can do with 7/8 time..." (Carmine Appice)

3. "I don't care what happens, I'm eating lobster!!"

2. "_________, eh!"

1. "Periphaaarry!"

We snapped a ton of video and images, so we'll be spending the next few days editing it into something halfway recognizable, and getting it onto YouTube.

Thanks to everyone at the Cape Breton Int'l Drumfest for the invite, support and hospitality. In particular, we would like to thank; Bruce and Gloria Aitken, Evans drumheads, Sabian Cymbals, Los Cabos Drumsticks, Pearl Drums, Bill Appleby, Carmine Appice, Alan White, Bernard Purdie, Redge (Pearl Drums), Danielle Cormier, Paul Frederick, Brad Park, Everett (our driver) and Ricochet.

A massive thank you! goes out to Maman Bourgeois and Michel, the Bertrand family and the West family.

There's also a new interview posted on Harbinger's MySpace! Bradley (Bishop / guitars) and Elie talk about the future of the band and touch on some music industry issues. Check it here."
