This Sunday, July 18th, will mark over two months since the passing of legendary heavy metal vocalist RONNIE JAMES DIO.

In an effort to keep his legacy alive and to raise money for cancer research, numerous Long Island bands will be coming to together for this one-time memorial event.

The concert, A Long Island Farewell To Ronnie James Dio, is being presented by Johnny WildChild and Grey Wolf Productions and will take place from 1 - 9 PM at Mulcahy’s in Centereach, NY and will include many local tribute and cover bands, all of whom will perform Dio songs within their sets.

The bands that are scheduled to perform include: CINTRON, JUST PURPLE (DEEP PURPLE tribute), LIVE AFTER DEATH (IRON MAIDEN tribute), OVERDRIVE, OZZMOSIS (OZZY OSBOURNE tribute), SNAKEBITE (WHITESNAKE tribute), XCITER (JUDAS PRIEST tribute) and LIVE EVIL (Dio-era BLACK SABBATH/HEAVEN & HELL), and SACRED HEART (all eras of Dio).

There will also be many local and national special guest performers including Deanna D (HEARTLESS), Chris Collins (MAJESTY, WINTERSPELL), Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW, Black Sabbath, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT), Mike Tirelli (BURNING STARR, RIOT) and other “surprise guests.”

Admission is $20.00. All proceeds from this benefit go to Ronnie James Dio's charity Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.

Also, if you wear any ELF, Rainbow, Black Sabbath (with Dio), DIO or Heaven & Hell t-shirt, hat, jacket or other legal article of clothing to this event you will receive a $5.00 discount off your admission price as well.
