BW&BK; has received the following OCEANO update:
"Fresh off of the success of their sold out Contagion Across The Nation tour, Chicago deathcore heavyweights Oceano are pleased to announce the Contaminating The Coast tour. Sponsored by AMP magazine and running throughout the month of January, the Contaminating The Coast tour will see the year's heaviest Billboard charting act get in front of their rabid western fans who have been waiting a long time for the band's return. Trekking along with OCEANO will be their friends, FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS, UPON A BURNING BODY, THE GREAT COMMISSION and I THE BREATHER. The full list of dates for this January tour will be announced soon at this location and on Facebook .As previously reported, Oceano's new album, Contagion, sold 2,955 copies in its first week of release, landing the Chicago deathcore heavyweights at #163 on the Billboard Top 200. The band also debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers chart at #3.
This is a tremendous achievement for the young band and only cements their role as a legitimate force in the metal world.
"We're excited to have made the charts;" says Oceano's formidable frontman, Adam Warren. "We also know that this or any other success we've faced would have been possible without the support of our loyal fans and listeners. Thanks a lot and we'll catch you on tour."Oceano recently debuted their video for the track 'Weaponized'. This is the band's first video from Contagion, and it was directed by Kevin J. Custer (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED, TOMBS, JUSTIN BIEBER). The video features explosive performance footage of the band acting as a counterpoint to a high tension situation that builds throughout the video.
Everyone involved in the making of the video put a lot of hard work into it. Oceano frontman, Adam Warren recalls the shoot and is excited about how everything came together: "It was a very good shoot. It was put together quickly and efficiently. We had a very professional group of people working with us and they really did a good job of creating a visual experience to tie in with the story and overall themes for both the song as well as the album."
