Former ANTHRAX Vocalist John Bush Comments On Working With LONG DISTANCE CALLING
January 17, 2011, 13 years ago
Germany's LONG DISTANCE CALLING is poised to release their new, self-titled album, which features a guest appearance from former ANTHRAX and ARMORED SAINT vocalist John Bush on the song 'Middleville'.
When asked what made him decide to collaborate with Long Distance Calling, Bush said:
"Music. That is the sole reason that I did this song. When I was approached by Long Distance Calling, instead of seeking information about them, I just listened to the music. I didn't look at a web site or a social network. I didn't inquire about their history. I didn't even look at a picture. I just listened to them. That was all I needed. It inspired me and allowed me to be part of an amazing song. Ambience, power, mood, melody, it has it all. Crank it! Preferably in headphones."In regard to issuing the new music as a self-titled album, the band reveals the name Long Distance Calling is tied directly to the concept of the record, which focuses on time, space and distance.
"We are just a tiny part of the ever growing universe. It's the important third album, so we decided to call the album Long Distance Calling as a statement."The album will be out on the following dates:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland - February 18th
Europe - February 21st
Australia/New Zealand - February 25th
North America - March 8th
The tracklisting:
'Into The Black Wide Open'
