KILL DEVIL HILL - the new band featuring drummer Vinny Appice (HEAVEN & HELL, BLACK SABBATH, DIO), bassist Rex Brown (DOWN, PANTERA), guitarist Mark Zavon (RATT, W.A.S.P., 40 CYCLE HUM) and singer Dewey Bragg - played their first show at The Key Club in Hollywood last Friday night (April 29th).

About the debut gig, Appice told BraveWords.com: "Well we did it! KDH placed its first show at the Key Club in Hollywood on Friday night to a packed house. The show was great and being on stage with this band had that "special" feeling which I have only experienced with a few bands like Sabbath and the original Dio band. There is a magic combination of certain musicians that make a real band and that's what this felt like to me. It's also a feeling of power. It was cool hearing these songs live and loud through the big PA and the bottom end of Rex' bass cranking. Some people claim they heard us down the street at the Rainbow Bar & Grill!!!"

Mark Zavon added: "Thanks to everyone who made it out to our debut at the Key Club! We had a blast and can't wait to do it again!! Vinny and Rex were amazing together, driving the set with undeniable authority. It's truly an honor to play with two guys that I grew up listening to and have so much respect for. Dewey was awesome, and has only begun to scratch the surface of what he is capable of. It felt great to finally share the music with a live audience. I love writing and recording, but in the end it's all about bringing it to the people and serving it up in person. The cork's out of the bottle now … here we go!!!"
