TOKYO BLADE have been confirmed as headliners for the two-day Power Of The Night 6 festival, to be held July 16th - 17th in Cyprus. The festival will take place at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia and although Tokyo Blade are the main attraction there is also a fantastic supporting bill of local metal bands from Greece and Cyprus. Uniquely the festival commemorates those people who have lost their lives on the roads in the last 12 months.

Tokyo Blade are thrilled to be playing to their fans in Cyprus again and will take the stage to close the festival on the Sunday night. Guitarist Andy Boulton said: "We can't wait to get back to Cyprus. we played there a few years back and had a fantastic time so everyone's looking forward to a great show. I really want to see some of the local bands too."

Gates open at 5:30 PM, and advance tickets are available now for €18 for both days or you can pay on the day for €15 each day. For more details go to this location.

Tokyo Blade previously announced a one-off UK show at the historic Standard music venue in Walthamstow, UK on September 30th.

The Standard was a happy hunting ground for the band in the early days with many a sweaty night being enjoyed by all in attendance. In December, 2011 though after 25 years as a beacon for live music, the venue will close its doors for the last time.

Having battled the economic climate for years, the owners, Punch Taverns have finally succumbed and are expecting the sale of the site to be completed by the end of June. It's thought the building will be converted into a supermarket.

John Wiggins of Tokyo Blade remembers the venue with fondness: "It's a great little venue, always was. We had many a wild night on that stage I can tell you, they were always a brilliant crowd to play for. Real shame it's closing but maybe we can take the roof off it for them! It'll be quite strange because we play Wacken in August which is sold out, 80,000 people and then we've got to get the whole show into the Standard. It'll be a privilege to play there again though and I bet they almost make as much noise as Wacken too!"

Special Guests for the show will be DEEP MACHINE, long-time friends of Tokyo Blade and no strangers to the Standard's stage themselves.

Tickets are £10 each and available now from the Tokyo Blade UK Box Office, here.

Tokyo Blade's new studio album, Thousand Men Strong, was released on March 18th, and is available in three formats, the standard CD release, the CD Fan Pack and the deluxe vinyl edition.

Available exclusively from the band's website the fan pack includes the CD, personalised guitar pick, signed Blade Clan laminate and membership to the Blade Clan.

The current Tokyo Blade line-up includes four of the five original members, Andy Boulton (guitar), Andy Wrighton (bass), John Wiggins (guitar) and Steve Pierce (drums) and is completed by powerhouse vocalist Nicolaj Ruhnow.
