Ex-DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy has posted the following message in regards to the delay in release of the debut album from his new project, ADRENALINE MOB - also featuring SYMPHONY X singer Russell Allen, guitarist Rich Ward (STUCK MOJO, FOZZY), guitarist Mike Orlando and bassist Paul DiLeo (NENA).

Says Portnoy: "For those wondering about the 2012 release... Most labels require a thre month "setup" for a well promoted release... as it is now late July, delivering the album to a label TODAY won't get a release til October... and basically ALL labels won't release a new album past October (unless you are MADONNA, LADY GAGA, EMINEM, etc.). So rather than us taking these Godsmack shows with NOTHING available and a release not likely til January (or so), we decided to put out an EP to give you all a taste of The Mob now so we can play some shows and still set-up a full length release! Believe Me (no pun intended), we are as anxious as you all to hear this music!!!"

As previously reported, Adrenaline Mob been confirmed as one of the support acts for GODSMACK on the band's headlining tour throughout North America in August.

Portnoy remarked: "I'd like to personally thank Sully and everyone in the Godsmack camp for offering The Mob these dates without our album even being out yet! It shows a tremendous amount of BALLS as well as faith in the music and live energy of Adrenaline Mob to do that and they will forever be held as seriously cool MF's in my book for that! Good karma pays itself back elevenfold!"

In addition to the Godsmack dates, Adrenaline Mob will be doing several exclusive small club shows throughout the run to give fans an intimate live preview of the band. Dates will be announced soon. To coincide with the tour, Adrenaline Mob will release a four-song EP in August and plan on releasing their full length debut album at the start of 2012.
