ANDROMEDA Sign With Inner Wound Recordings

Inner Wound Recordings has announced the signing of the Swedish progressive metal band ANDROMEDA to the label, for their upcoming album, scheduled for a late 2011 release.
More details regarding this album will be made official during the coming month.
Andromeda, with severals albums and tours under their belt, is definitely one of the most successful progressive metal bands in Scandinavia and Europe. This fall they've got festival appearances like Generation Prog, Denmark Rock Festival and Slottsskogen Goes Progressive lined up, and when the new album hits the shelves many more shows will be announced.
The first Generation Prog Festival in Nürnberg brings together some of the finest modern prog bands from various European countries and local talent from the area for an exciting weekend of progressive music. On September 23rd and 24th, the Nürnberg club, Luise - The Cultfactory, is the place to be for prog fans.
Andromeda have been confirmed as the headliner band for Saturday, playing an exclusive German gig – their first in five years! Joining them are SUBSIGNAL, the latest addition to the festival lineup, founded by former SIEGES EVEN members Arno Menses (vocals) and Markus Steffen (guitars). The band will be performing material from their upcoming new album Touchstones, which will already be on sale at the festival. The international instrumental project RELOCATOR, playing material from one of the most celebrated prog debuts of 2010, and local heroes THEORY OF ELEMENTS complete the Saturday lineup.
Friday will see HAKEN's return to Germany after their triumphant opening set at this year's Night of the Prog. The DPRP-certified 2010 Newcomer Of The Year will be playing material from their debut Aquarius and their upcoming album Visions, which should be on sale at the festival a month ahead of the official release. Another celebrated newcomer band will be making their German debut at Generation Prog: EXIVIOUS, founded by former CYNIC members Tymon (guitar) and Robin Zielhorst (bass) with TEXTURES drummer Stef Broks and guitarist Michel Nienhuis. The Friday evening will also feature female-fronted local prog metal talent EFFLORESCE, currently hard at work on their first full-length CD after 2009's Shades of Fate EP, and an opening performance by prog youngsters OCEAN SPOUT.
