Due to “creative differences,” guitarist Peter Wichers and SOILWORK have decided to part ways for the second time.

Back in December 2005, Wichers left Soilwork, only to rejoin in September 2008. At the time of his initial hiatus from the band Wichers said, "I was at a place in my life where I felt burnt out on touring and I needed to get my life into a more stable situation."

Peter’s current statement is as follows:

"I want to thank everyone who has supported Soilwork over the years. It has been a wild and fun ride, but it’s time for me to explore different options in my career. I will cherish all the amazing moments I have gathered from my time with Soilwork, and I would not be where I am today without the help from you fans, my family and Soilwork. Thank you!"

Wichers has played on every Soilwork album with the exception of 2007's Sworn To A Great Divide; for which he was replaced by Daniel Antonsson (DARK TRANQUILLITY, DIMENSION ZERO).
