On July 4th, CHILDREN OF BODOM announced that vocalist/guitarist Alexi Laiho had been rushed to an Oslo hospital with extreme stomach pain. Laiho was hospitalized for an extended period of time, forcing the band to cancel several shows. They have issued the following update:

"We are happy to announce that Alexi will be leaving the hospital in Oslo tomorrow, Thursday, July 12th and are also glad to confirm that the band will be able to play Ilosaarirock Festival. The Hate Crew is rolling again! More info shortly….."

On May 22nd, Children Of Bodom released Holiday At Lake Bodom (15 Years Of Wasted Youth), a very special CD+DVD career retrospective in celebration of the band's 15th Anniversary.
