Former METALLICA / VOIVOD bassist Jason Newsted was recently interviewed on Wikimetal, discussing his new project NEWSTED and much more.

Says Wikimetal: "On the final part of our interview with the great Jason Newsted we talked more about Jason's career in Metallica and Voivod and about his new EP, Metal, released this week. We asked him how was it to play on Ian Gillan and Tony Iommi's project WHO CARES, to participate on the reality show Rockstar Supernova, and about the experience of playing on the great Voivod. We also got to hear previews of Jason's new EP.

The full episode can be found below:

Newsted was interviewed on this past weekend's edition of the Maximum Threshold Radio Show.

"As usual we get the scoop on our guests. We covered the latest Newsted release. We talked about his past bands, the Metallica breakup, talked about his art and his comparison of it to PAUL STANLEY's art. (Really funny segment). Newsted planning on touring, Here's a good quote from the interview: 'If you see me on Dancing With The Stars you better hit me in my neck as hard as you can!'. 180 proof Moonshine called Godsnake Juice may be a product he will be coming out with. We talk about Paul Stanley's chest hair (Chia-Chest). Newsted denies getting asked to join Geoff Tate's version of QUEENSRŸCHE. On that note he stated that: 'You need to know when to say when!'."
