KATAKLYSM filmed their new music video, for the track 'Elevate', today in Belgrade, Serbia with acclaimed director Ivan Colic from iCode Productions (EX DEO, SOILWORK, MOONSPELL, ALESTORM, KAMELOT), whose previous work includes Kataklysm's 'Push The Venom' video and Ex Deo’s 'Romulus' and 'Final War (Battle Of Actium)' videos.
A photo from the set of the video, which the band describe as "a visual masterpiece in darkeness, blood and death metal", can be seen below:
Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono stated: "In Serbia filming a killer video , Big Steph (bassist Stephane Barbe) never looked this good before - ha ha."
Kataklysm will release their new album, Waiting For The End To Come, worldwide this October. The main artwork for the CD and Limited Cassette, courtesy of Peter Sallai, has been unveiled:
The Deluxe Digipack and LP versions of Waiting For The End To Come will feature different artwork, created by Eliran Kantor.
Song-titles set to appear on Waiting For The End To Come include: 'If I Was God... I'd Burn It All', 'Under Lawless Skies', 'Kill The Elite' and a cover of SACRED REICH's 'The American Way'. Waiting For The End To Come will feature drummer Oli Beaudoin, formerly of NEURAXIS, behind the kit in place of Max Duhamel who left the band due to personal issues with alcohol.
Kataklysm will film a new music video in Belgrade, Serbia later this month with acclaimed director Ivan Colic from iCode Productions (EX DEO, SOILWORK, MOONSPELL, ALESTORM, KAMELOT).
Filming will commence in August for “a very ambitious & sick" video clip for the song 'Elevate' from Kataklysm's forthcoming Waiting For The End To Come. According to the band, the plan is to bring the viewers into a visual masterpiece of chaos, a chaos based around the ideals of death, the purpose of life, the human factor, and the semi-coma state that most people in this world exist in.
Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono states: "In a nutshell, we believe we wrote the most intense, intricate storyline for a video clip ever made in death metal and our genre. Big statement? Well, we’ve got big ideas and we need to put it to life with crazy visuals. We hired the man who has the balls and the artistic capacity to execute this task plus one of the best special FX teams in Europe to back him up. It's time to up the game. We’re back and we’re swinging hard."
