MITCH MALLOY, who is best known as the short-lived vocalist of VAN HALEN after SAMMY HAGAR's departure, is the subject of a documentary currently being edited for completion. One interesting aspect of Malloy's career is covered by one chapter of the doc which has been pre-released:
"The legacy of Van Halen has never had a shortage of drama or die-hard fans, and rocker Mitch Malloy has a unique place within the still-unfolding drama. Following the ousting of Sammy Hagar from the band Malloy was tapped as the lead singer replacement, but subsequently declined this rock royalty position. For years Mitch Malloy's story was touched on but never fully revealed, mostly by Malloy to avoid conflict with his current musical pursuits. After the publication of Everybody Wants Some: The Van Halen Saga, which mentions Malloy, fans and media continually asked about his Van Halen experience."
Along with the Van Halen connection, Malloy has lended his talents to LIBERTY N' JUSTICE’s ‘Only Heaven Knows’ off their 2004 album Welcome To The Revolution, and VOICES OF ROCK’s ‘Lay You Down To Rest’ from their 2009 album High And Mighty. Malloy also released his new single ‘It’s Your Love’ on July 9th, 2013.
