Dimmu Borgir guitarist Silenoz was interviewed by KaaosTV at Helsinki's Tuska Open Air on June 29th. When asked about the follow-up to 2010's Abrahadabra he says: "We are still writing individually and sometimes together. We are not really far into the process. We always make it when it's the right time. We wish that we could've had the album ready now, but we don't and we have to accept it. When we come with a new album it'll be something that we can stand behind which represents the band where we are at the moment. We always take two to three years between each release. Now it's been four. But it will take the time it needs to be great. If it takes another two years then so be it, but hopefully not! It will be great to have things done this time next year, but a lot of things have to happen."

As for the new material Silenoz says the music is more "primal sounding, more simple. Maybe more aggressive and more simple."

Dimmu Borgir are currently a three-piece rounded off by singer Shagrath and guitarist Galder.
