MelodicRock.com have posted the following update on the forthcoming TNT album, direct from singer Tony Mills (ex-SHY):

"The new album is pretty much half finished with the producer H.P.Gundersen from Bergen. It's quite a commercial product with all the arty leanings of Mr. Le Tekro and it's a very special album. Probably the most exciting product I've been involved in throughout my career. As I see it, it's the future of melodic rock music from Europe. I don't say that lightly.

In fact, I think it's the perfect crossover for all the people that have been looking for the hook and the balls of the rock fraternity. It's a lot of work, but every minute will be a savoured memory, even if -28 has been forecast in Oslo for the completion of the recording."

When asked for further comment on working with the guys from TNT and how he is enjoying it, Tony added:

"The TNT machine really is a Scandinavian monster and it's opened my eyes to another world to get outside the stigma of the UK. Playing to audiences of 2000 - 20,000 on a regular basis makes you wonder what the hell you've been doing all your life! Everywhere you look in this country, rock is a prevalent entity and I'm just so sad that it doesn't happen to this extent in the British isles. Bands are being exported out of Norway and Sweden like there's no tomorrow and maybe that's why I got sucked in to such a remarkable outfit as TNT. With press and live TV at such a premium in the UK and yet it's so readily available in Norway, it's hardly surprising that great rock acts get the exposure they deserve in this country.

After 23 years, TNT still exude the hunger that you would expect from much younger bands and if they didn't, then I wouldn't be spending my life skipping through Copenhagen airport. Mind you, I only stop there because the band have to pay four times the price for the scotch whisky at the government shop in Oslo and they all have their tongues hangin' out when I land at Gardemoen!

I don't think there's any doubt that TNT are an awesome band to contend with; I really never felt this with Shy and maybe that's just because we're a different mixture of people.

Excited about the new album? 'Frantic' would probably be a better description ! Written in Spain, recorded in Norway, probably mixed in Denmark and ultimately toured in Europe and more than likely Japan, it's a project that really is undeniable and could well be the pinnacle of my vocal career. There aint much else to say."
