AUTUMN'S END Drummer Joe Kamka Defying The Odds; Band To Play Acoustically At Benefit

On January 27th at 3 AM, AUTUMN'S END drummer Joe Kamka was hit by a drunk driver while on his motorcycle. Desert Core Management's Andrew Cox has issued the following update:
"After getting run over by a drunk driver and suffering massive injuries to his head and brain Joey Kamka is off life support and opening his eyes for the first time in a week.Joey's accident was so severe that his chances of survival were slim. After a week of grueling surgeries Joey is pulling through. Yesterday his sister was able to get him to open his eyes and squeeze her hand. His nurse came in and kept insisting that Joey give her two thumbs up and in typical Joey fashion he raised his middle finger in protest.
While being unconscious the last week his family has had Act Of Attrition playing 24 hours a day. During this time Joey has been moving his hands and feet almost as if he were mimicking the sounds that once erupted from his drumming fury.
We know that it is only a matter of time before Joey recovers and is back on his throne where he belongs.
There will be a benefit show for Joey at The Clubhouse on March 10th featuring SANITY IN DEATH, THE DAMES, BACK FROM ASHES, FRACTURE POINT and even Autumn's End.
Autumn's End will be playing their first ever live acoustic set. All money generated from the show will be put in a special bank account for Joey that his family is setting up this week.
