hot flashes news after forever sander gommans

AFTER FOREVER guitarist Sander Gommans has issued the following comments on the band's Invisible Circles album, considered by many diehard AF fans to be the band's best work:

"About why we don't play a lot of Invisible Circles songs: these are part of a concept, and also written like that. I think a lot of these songs sound strange when you play them separately and it's hard to 'feel' them. This is very important for us a band. The songs are also not the easiest songs to play if you want to play them the right way, and certainly not the easiest songs to get into when you're part of the audience.

For live shows, I like heavy songs and catchy songs, with one or two more progressive songs in between. Though Invisible Circles is the album I'm most proud of, it's certainly not my favorite album to play live.

And I mentioned this before, if this album will really get a new boost and appreciation we'll certainly be thinking about doing another concept show...without the suits though ;-)."
