Jason Darr, frontman for Canada's NEUROSONIC, has checked in with the following update from their recent U.S. tour with UNWRITTEN LAW, ZEBRAHEAD and BULLETS & OCTANE:

"Well, firstly, I would like to extend my deepest apologies for my absence.

It started in Virginia Beach... after loading in during a rainstorm, we then played to a very small but excited crowd (seeing as most of the shows on this tour have advertized a door time that occurs later than our given set time). We woke up the next day ready to go to Baltimore. We stopped for gas at about 10 am. this was a good time for us as it was about a 5 hour drive and we didnt have to be at the club in Baltimore until about 4:30. As we cruised down the road, we figured we would stop at Applebees... (I heard the chicken fried chicken in these parts was to die for!). After waiting for an hour and a half for our food, we were starting to get really pissed, as we were probably going to hit traffic and be a little late. It was then that I realized that I had left my wallet at the gas station outside of Virginia Beach... I was fucked... not only were we now at risk of hitting traffic and being late, we had to back track 2 hours to get my wallet as this contained our expense card for the whole tour... un-fucking-believable...

I drove like an absolute asshole to try and get back to the gas station, but the problem was, we didn't really know where it was. On the highway somewhere... God knows which exit... so as our label gal Allison tracked down the wallet (a miracle), we sped in the general direction from which we came... away from our destination of Baltimore...

It was at this time we learned that three dudes from the biggest Baltimore radio station were coming to the show just to see us... even more un-fucking-believable... the pressure is on.

We were at risk of not even being permitted to perform because the tour manager was concerned that we would cause the other bands to go on late (God forbid)... so... here is JDarr, driving on sidewalks, running red lights, driving through pylons in construction zones to try and get there on time. Doors were at 630, and our set was at 730...

We pulled up at 7:05 (almost three hours late) and started tossing the gear out of the trailer right on the stage to try and make sure we were on at 7:30 sharp... this band does not cancel because we are late. We were ready to go at 7:35 (thanks to the dudes in the other bands helping us), and the tour manager for the headliner was gracious enough to let us play an extra 5 minutes... thanks!

The thing that was really amazing was that all of the other band dudes were watching from sidestage. They were hoping to finally see Neurosonic eye-to-eye... waiting for failure... waiting for weakness...

And they are still waiting because we delivered one of the greatest shows of the tour, and the jaws were on the floor. We are unstoppable."
