Northern Storm Records has signed Hamilton, Ontario-based metallers DEATHMARCH.

The label's Rob Cranny states, "We are proud to announce the joining of Deathmarch to the Northern Storm family. We know these guys have an amazing future ahead of them and we look forward to helping them obtain their dreams and goals."

Deathmarch drummer Mike Cotton has issued the following:

"The signing with Northern Storm has been great. We’ve known Brent and Rab for a few years now, and have always been pretty good friends. They have always believed in us, right from the beginning, and have always gone out of their way to support in any way they can, it’s great to have amazing people like that behind us, helping us work towards what we would like to accomplish. We are looking forward to working with Northern Storm, and we are very excited to watch both Deathmarch and Northern Storm grow.

We recorded the album at Second Stage Studios, (owned by Mike Cotton Sr.), with Colin Attlesey of the band WILL OF THE ANCIENTS/DETSORGSEKALF/BIG&TALL.; Colin is a truly amazing engineer, and has gone way out of his way, showing much more dedication than anyone expected, and put in a ton of hard work to make this album sound absolutely amazing. The album is being mastered at JFD Studios in Montreal by my good friend J.F Dagenais of KATAKLYSM, and I can’t wait to hear what he puts into the album.

The cover art (pictured) was drawn by Kyle’s aunt Brenda Rudder, and the album consists of the songs: Written In Blood, Vampires, Voice Of Evil, The Wretched Wanderer, Legion Of The Night, The Rise Of Nehebu-Kau, Heavens Great Mistake, Aurora Borealis, and a special intro and outro.

Since we have so many mixed emotions about the songs on this album, and the songs have been written at different points in our development, we saw it fitting to make the album self-titled. I’m very excited for people to hear our most recent songs 'Aurora Borealis', and 'The Rise Of Nehebu-Kau', and I'm also looking forward to hearing the old songs as well.

We at Deathmarch and Northern Storm are very excited to release this album to the public, and have high hopes for both of our careers. We hope to see everyone at our upcoming shows with QUO VADIS, DARK FUNERAL, and hope to have a very successful CD release in the near future.

We hope you enjoy the album, which is due in October of 2007, and you will hear from us again soon."

Samples of the new album will be added to the Northern Storm Myspace page in a few days.
