FULL BLOWN CHAOS has announced that they will be heading out on a full US tour this September with OBITUARY.

Vocalist Ray Mazzola tells that the bands have been hoping to tour together for a long time, but it never happened until now. “We’ve been talking about and planning this tour for years. It’s something we are very excited to do, to see Obituary every night, because we love their music and it will totally blow our minds. We aren’t going to be backstage when they perform; we’ll be right out in the crowd, moshing it up.”

While this tour leans much more to the metal side of the musical spectrum, Ray says that the band is ready to jump right in. “We love our hardcore roots, but we are metal heads in the same sense, and Obituary has always been very prominent in our metal listening. One of our first huge tours was with SEPULTURA, we’ve gone out with SIX FEET UNDER, NAPALM DEATH, and EXODUS as well. We’ve found that we blend well on either kind of tour because our type of music caters to both genres.”

This tour will be in support of their upcoming Ferret Music debut Heavy Lies the Crown, due out on August 21st. The album was produced by BIOHAZARD's Billy Graziadei, who pushed the band to test their limits and delve deep into their influences, Heavy Lies the Crown incorporates the best parts of thrash titans SLAYER, TESTAMENT, and METALLICA alongside the "basics" like AGNOSTIC FRONT, SICK OF IT ALL and MADBALL, with a healthy dose of the Southern groove of CROWBAR, DOWN and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY.

This is their most brutal album to date, with no punches pulled, and Mazzola warns, “This is the sound of us getting ready for war.”

The band made up of Mazzola, Mike Facci (guitar), Jeff Facci (drums) and Mike “Lurk” Ruehle (bass) released two successful albums in the last few years Wake the Demons (2004) and Within the Grasp of Titans (2006). Known for their savage attack of hardcore fury with the amplification of metal and sludge influences the band has become a live draw earning their stripes on the road for long stretches including a memorable summer on OZZFest, in addition to tours with SLIPKNOT, FEAR FACTORY, and HATEBREED.
