BOSTON guitar legend Tom Scholz has issued the following update regarding the upcoming tribute show for late singer Brad Delp which is being held on August 19th at the Bank Of America Pavilion in Boston, MA:

"The Brad Delp Tribute organizers agreed to extend Boston's set so we could invite all our current and former band mates to play with us !

Our set is now one hour, scheduled from 9:55 to 10:55 and nearly all of it will be needed to play the songs and get everyone on stage to play or sing something, so don't expect much jabbering! I won't need to introduce the songs, I think everyone will know them. We have something planned from each of the first four Boston albums, and as always, a little music not on any album.

I have now confirmed just about everyone, and we are very excited about getting back together again, and playing some Boston music. We finally rounded up Jim Masdea, he's been playing in a rock band in China!

Fran Cosmo has developed a problem with a blood vessel in his throat that will require surgery, but it should be fully recoverable. Unfortuantely he will not be able to sing the last song, Don't Look Back, but he will join us on stage to lend a hand with his guitar. We all wish him a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Covering for Fran will be a selection of the excellent vocalists that have performed with Boston on stage over the years. In addition to Kimberley Dahme, we have Curly Smith, Doug Huffman, David Sikes and Jeff Neal who have all been lead singers in other bands, and I'm sure they will rise to the occassion.

See you there!"

As previously reported, sets by GODSMACK, Delp's BEATLES tribute band BEATLEJUICE, and guest spots from CHEAP TRICK's Robin Zander, EXTREME's Gary Cherone, STRYPER singer Michael Sweet, Mickey Thomas (JEFFERSON STARSHIP) and SAMMY HAGAR are also being planned for the event.
