AVATAR Support Band Contest Announced For Upcoming Album Release Party

As previously reported, Swedish metallers AVATAR have announced a release party for their new album Schlacht at Sticky Fingers in Göteborg, Sweden on October 26th. The band have issued the following update regarding a support band contest:

"Hey Swedes, wanna play on Sticky Fingers? Well this is your lucky day! We will hold a contest to appoint the opening act for our release party on October 26. You will play in 25 minutes. This is a cooperation between us and the Swedish music site Rookie.nu. Just sign up your band and enter the contest. The rules are as follows:

1. The average age of the band members must be lower then ours (20). 2. The band must play at least one Avatar song.

The jury consists of Markus Tagaris (A&R;, Gain Productions), Edward Janson (agent, Motor), David Johansson (Sticky Fingers) and Martin Westerstrand (Lillasyster). You can find all the info you need on Rookie.nu. Good luck. Peace out."

Avatar's new album Schlacht on October 24th in Europe on Gain Music. Included in the CD will be one hour of live clips and interviews.
