According to the Sundaymail.co.uk, LED ZEPPELIN legend Robert Plant backed the Tartan Clef awards by donating a signed guitar which raised £4000 at the fundraising auction.

He sent the Ibanez acoustic, while two tickets for Led Zep's sold-out reunion show raised a staggering £25,000.

Plant will join guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones for the classic band's gig at the O2 Arena in London on December 10. Single tickets have been selling on eBay for £1500 each.

Charity chairman Donald MacLeod said: "We want the Tartan Clefs to be Scotland's answer to The Brits...a tribute to our musical greats while raising cash for a very worthwhile cause."
