We crack a bottle in tribute to thrash metal tonight with Constable Udo Dirkschneider. Gone may be the days where ACCEPT ruled the roost amongst teutonic thrash tribes but the celebrated German vocalist is still standing. OVERKILL, MANIFEST and DARKTHRONE go under the magnifying glass as Udo, devoid of his trademark camouflage pants, looks for the master thrash riff. As a friend of Eurovision winners, LORDI, Udo tells us whether Mr Lordi's God's gift to women reputation is justified or whether there is something wrong with Finnish women in general.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN are THE thing on everybody's lips these days. And that's aside their collaboration with Mike Patton in 2002 or their recent full nudity photoshoot with UK magazine, Kerrang!
