METAL CHURCH have issued the following update:

"Recently we announced the cover art we decided on from the fan submissions. It was reported that the artist was Rainer Kalwitz. Although Rainer did submit the artwork to us, it was on behalf of Michael Karcz of Poland who is the actual artist on the cover.

We want to again thank each and everyone of you that sent artwork in. There were so many that had an incredible amount of effort behind them and we appreciate all of you. Michael Karcz's artwork fit the story that our new release is telling. We did get suggestions from some of you that actually matched our thoughts and vision for the artwork and it is nice to see our fans on the same page so to speak. Because of so many great submissions we did decide to include some of the others on the inner sleeve. We will post those names after we get in touch with the artists to let them know."

Metal Church announced yesterday (April 16th) that Rick Van Zandt is their new guitar player. Says the band: "Rick brings a whole new level of playing to Metal Church and we are all glad to have him and we are sure you, the fans will be as well. Get ready for some shredding! The new album really kicks some metal ass, every band says that but we mean it!!"

Metal Church are putting the finishing touches to their new album, This Present Wasteland, due out this fall via SPV.
