Toronto, Canada-based publishing house ECW Press has acquired rights to Rick Rubin: In the Studio for release in June, 09. The title, whose publication was first announced on MTV.com in the spring of 2006, was previously placed with another publisher, but was recently acquired by ECW, who is also publishing 'HEART: In the Studio' (featuring exclusive interviews with Ann and Nancy Wilson) in June, 2009. In other news regarding biographer Jake Brown's In the Studio book series, MÖTLEY CRÜE: In the Studio, which features exclusive interviews with band members like Tommy Lee and producers including Bob Rock, Tom Werman, and James Michael among others, will finally see the retail light of day in September, 2008 after acquisition by APG Book Distribution/Rock 'N' Roll Books. Finally, in June, 2009, Amber Books will be issuing RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS: In the Studio' next month in June, 2008.
