AGATHOCLES Bassist Passes

Bassist Tony Schepkens from Belgian grinders AGATHOCLES died on August 1st at the age of 35. The band have issued the following statement: "Best friend, radical hard head and mince core noise DIY militant. When the Earth trembles and shakes, we know you are making noise in hell. When thunder and lightning strike us, we know you are doing noise in heaven. Bleh compadre!"
Agathocles were recently finishing up the recordings for their new full length to be issued through Displeased Records this fall. Titled Grind Is Protest, the album is set to feature 40 new songs "more brutal and in-your-face than its predecessor Mincer," according to a press release.
