As previously reported, Canadian rock icon Frankie Venom (aka Frank Kerr), lead singer of Hamilton punk pioneers TEENAGE HEAD died of natural causes on October 15th. He was 52. SVEN GALI guitarist Dee Cernile out of Toronto has issued the following statement on Facebook:

“Many of you have reached me about my old friend and my one time singer Frankie Venom of Teenage Head. With great respect and a sense of HUGE loss I say good bye to a true legend and a real bud... Frank. For Family, Gordie, Steve, Nick, Dave, Donny, Sam, and many others... what a great loss. Heavy heart and fond memories of the king of Canada's punk/pop scene. A true icon and a real friend. Missed already.

I can barely believe it! RIP.”

Love,

Dee

Sven Gali covered Teenage Head’s ‘Disgusteen’ on their self-titled 1992 debut album. Frankie Venom appeared on the track for the infamous exorcism.
