A VAN HALEN insider has told The New York Post that former singer David Lee Roth is deluding himself about replacing Sammy Hagar. "He might have talked to Alex (Van Halen - drummer), but it's going to be a cold day in hell before he ever rejoins the band. I think he basically called Alex blind and asked about it. I just think that they are trying to trump up as much publicity for this [radio] show as possible."

As previously reported, David Lee Roth has replaced shock jock Howard Stern on FM Radio. During an interview with Kim Lyons from Pittsburghlive.com, when asked about a possible Van Halen reunion, Roth stated, "I think, eventually, the inevitable will happen. And it definitely won't be rockers with walkers. Getting onstage and singing 'Dance The Night Away' - let me tell you how difficult that isn't going to be. When people bring up Van Halen, I talk about it with pride and with no apprehension at all. I play those songs all the time."
