A Fat Wreck Documentary Release Announced; Written By BraveWords' Greg Pratt

A Fat Wreck, the documentary about punk rock record label Fat Wreck Chords, has announced a release date for the physical and digital release of the movie. Although it's not metal, there's a very metal connection to the movie: BraveWords' own Greg Pratt is A Fat Wreck's head writer.

As its successful theatrical run winds down, the movie will be out on November 22nd; preorders for various bundles and formats are available at this location.

The movie is still playing in select theaters worldwide. For a list of upcoming screenings, go here.

A Fat Wreck looks at the history of San Francisco-based record label Fat Wreck Chords through the many noteworthy bands, such as NOFX, Lagwagon, and Propagandhi, who have worked with the label. Through interviews with members of those and many other bands, including Bad Religion, Foo Fighters, Against Me!, Strung Out, and many others, as well as puppet-based re-enactments of drug use and BDSM activities, A Fat Wreck tells the story of young punks growing up through chosen family and a strong sense of ethics operating outside of the usual music-industry horrors.

Pratt will be at the Victoria, BC screening of A Fat Wreck to do a Q&A and drink beer with fellow punk rockers. More information can be found at the Facebook event page.
