AC/DC - Rock Or Bust Goes #1 In Australia

According to Themusic.com.au, Aussie hard rock legends AC/DC have landed another homegrown number one, with the band's latest LP Rock Or Bust pushing pop singer Taylor Swift out of the top spot.

Rock Or Bust is AC/DC’s fifth No.1 album for the Alberts Record label, with the previous four all being AC/DC albums, Back In Black, Live, Ballbreaker and Black Ice.

AC/DC’s new album. Rock Or Bust was produced by Brendan O’Brien, with Mike Fraser mixing at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC.  The album’s cover art uses a developed 3-D lenticular technology, which gives the illusion of the band’s iconic logo exploding as the album is moved. Rock or Bust is the band’s first album of new material in six years, following their immensely successful Black Ice, which entered charts at #1 in 31 countries and has sold nearly 8 million copies worldwide.

Rock Or Bust is the first AC/DC album in the band’s 41 year history without founding member Malcolm Young on the recordings, who is in a home suffering from dementia.

AC/DC will undertake a world tour in support of Rock Or Bust in 2015. Stevie Young, nephew of founding members Angus and Malcolm Young, plays rhythm guitar on Rock Or Bust and will accompany the band on tour. Long-time drummer Phil Rudd was recently ousted from the band and a replacement will be announced soon.
