Although AC/DC's Angus Young and his bandmates Malcolm Young (guitar-playing brother), singer Brian Johnson and bassist Cliff Williams were in London last night (May 6th) promoting their massive Live At River Plate DVD, the legendary guitarist misses the band's "old days" when he says the boys were at heir peak.

"Sometimes I wish our diehard fans across the world could have seen us then," he tells Sunday Herald Sun .

"In some of those gigs, there might not have been a big audience, we might have been in Bendigo somewhere playing to a couple of hundred people in a pub, but it was very wild times.

"There was such energy, probably because we were very young at the time and everything was new and fresh.

"Everything we did, so much energy was put out. If we'd known, we should have found the technology to record that."

Young also says he continues to deeply miss the band's former frontman Bon Scott, who died in 1980.

"Sometimes I get up and think of him and then in pops a song into my head," Young says. "Then I'm suddenly singing something from his time. I miss how he was. Bon would have had fun on this tour, he always had fun on tour. He was just a unique guy who had his own character and he certainly lit up a room. He was just one of those people."
