In celebration of Angus and Co.’s forthcoming live album, Live At River Plate, due on November 20th, BraveWords is counting-down something we like to call...AC/DC’s Top Ten Most Thunderstruck, Jacked Up, Dog Eat Dog Live Stands Of All Time! Horns up and knickers down!

Drum roll please … #9!

#9 - Gaumont, Southampton, UK

January 27, 1980

Angus Young - lead guitar

Malcolm Young - rhythm guitar

Bon Scott - vocals

Cliff Williams - bass

Phil Rudd - drums

Notably for notoriety, this date would turn out to be Bon Scott’s last, the legendary and lascivious belter freezing to death in a car after a night of drinking two weeks later, in London. By all accounts, the show was a barnstormer, featuring a set list peppered with material from the band's new album, Highway To Hell and plenty of nods to the early days. Support came from DIAMOND EAD.

AC/DC's setlist:

'Live Wire'

'Shot Down In Flames'

'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be'

'Sin City'

'Walk All Over You'

'Bad Boy Boogie'

'The Jack'

'Highway to Hell'

'Problem Child'

'Girls Got Rhythm'

'High Voltage'

'Whole Lotta Rosie'

'Let There Be Rock'
